The whole purpose of our Vote Bike 2018 campaign is to both encourage candidates to take cycling seriously, and inform members, and other interested parties, about the responses that candidates give
You will have already read the proposed motion on the previous page, now it is up to you.
With all 33 wards electing 3 councillors, there are a huge number of candidates and we cannot contact them all directly, so we are asking members and supporters to do that for us.
In collaboration with Cycling UK, we are asking candidates to commit to investing 10% of the local transport budget in active travel.
Through whatever means, please encourage your local candidates to visit http://www.leedscyclingcampaign.co.uk/votebike2018
If you use twitter, please share the following tweet to your candidates, and encourage them to respond.
Are you a candidate in the 2018 Leeds Local Elections? We would like to know your views on cycling and whether you would support investment of 10% of the local transport budget into active travel. We will be publishing all responses on our website. https://t.co/buzktnTlfQ
