So out via Tadcaster to a coffee / early stop at Askham Richard (about 18 miles). Then continuing to the A64 and picking up the York cycle tracks to the Millennium bridge and following a section of the York Orbital to join Route 66 to Stamford Bridge. This is a combination of quiet roads, some short sections of cycle track next to main roads and a reasonable long sections on tracks including about a mile of unpaved farm tracks (but a reasonable surface).

Lunch stop in Stamford Bridge (35 miles) at No. 10 coffee shop and bistro which offers a fairly extensive menu with both indoor and beer garden tables. This gets busy at lunch times and it is suggested we need to telephone orders which can be organised at coffee.

Returning via mainly quiet roads passing the Ellington air museum and a lovely section of off road. There is a short rough section but rideable with care, and later on a couple of miles by a busy fast road rideable on the pavement facing on-coming traffic. Then via Naburn and returning to Tadcaster.  Route home then the same as on the way out.
