A fair bit of off road, so a medium & not narrow tyre ride and expect a slower pace than tarmac.
In the unlikely event of prolonged wet weather, we have the option of avoiding some towpath and St Aidens by a taking tarmac route through Oulton, Methley and Castleford, but the preferred option is to take in both nature reserves.
