Start point: Pret-a-manger, station concourse side, Leeds Rail station
A ride that will include the following:
Meet up undercover for coffee before the ride start. 9-9:30 (50p for white coffee if you bring your own re-sealable cup.)
I have led this ride before, however I've made the following changes to keep it fresh.*
*Good value farm shop for the breakfast stop after 11 miles into the ride.
*A 500 yard off road track following the edge of Skelmenthorpe nature reserve.
*1 mile section of the new upgraded (tarmaced) Castleford to Wakefield greenway
*2 mile segregated cycle lane on the new link road Between Stanley Ferry and Health.
1.5 mile section on A638 into Wakefield i.e. a main road.
A visit to the Hepworth Wakefield for a coffee & look around the gallery.
(Better suited to Hybrid bike or road bike with at least 28mm wide tyres.)
