Long Ride Yorkshire Wolds

Car and train assisted ride. 

Start point:  Malton. Free car park off Railway Street.  On attached town plan it is 'P' just north of river, Rly Station and Bus Station.  
Through train 9.15 from Leeds to Malton 10.06.  Return trains from Malton at 16mins past the hour except 17.14 which is the only train that is change at York.
Or you could stop over in Malton on the Saturday night!

Route description:

Wolds hills are more undulating rather than jagged as in the Pennines.  Southwards along the beautiful Water Dale through Thixendale to Seaways Cafe in Fridaythorpe (13 miles) for a late elevenses. Don't be put off by the large number of bikers, it is a cyclists cafe as well.  Then south dropping into Pocklington before going back up over the Wolds to Sledmere House for a late lunch about 3.30 (43 miles).  Opportunity before Sledmere to take the B road back to Malton for a shorter ride. Expected arrival back at Malton is just before 6pm.
