Intermediate Ride to Beckwithshaw 37 miles

Lovely ride up a watershed including the top half of the climb of Norwood Edge. We stop for refreshment at the stunning heritage centre extension to Fewston Church, a lovely hidden gem’ run by volunteers to celebrate the heritage the Washburn Valley.   https://washburnvalley.org/tea-room/    Irresistible home-made cakes and local food. Yummy. Then mostly quiet roads via Beckwithshaw and Kirkby Overblow to Leeds.
 

Long Ride to Wintersett 55 miles

 
Out via ELOR, Garforth to Castleford. Probably early brunch at Queens Mill, 18 miles (unless the place we stopped at in the nearby precinct is open). 
 
Continuing using parts of the Wheel of Wakefield to Anglers Country Park near Wintersett.  
 
Continuing around the Wheel of Wakefield then on to the Transpennine route 67 calling in at Rivers Meet, 43 miles. Then back to Roundhay Park on the Temple Newsam Roundhay track.
