Long Ride to Grassington 62 miles

We will go to Burley via the Chevin and Menston and stop for coffee at either The Cockpit Farm Tea Room or Arlo. From there we will brave a bit of the A65 before ascending to Langbar stopping to admire the lapwings, listen to the curlews and watch the red kites being chased by said curlews or perhaps a crow. 

From here we descend half way down the hill and take a track and then path to Deerstones. This will require bikes to be pushed and possibly lifted . However this allows us to cross the A59 and take the back road to Storiths and thence to Appletreewick, Hebden and Grassington where well deserved refreshments will be taken.Grassington House is very good if we can get a table.

We return by a familiar route to Otley and then up the A660.
